Scarlett Valley is the big college in the sickening town. Not well known worldwide, or even just in the U.S. for that matter. But they don't pick the smartest kids to come, they pick the ones that pop out the most. The unique ones. It may sound like the weirdest thing ever but if you have the chance to go, take it, you'll never know how much this school could do for you.
When not in school where could these young adults be ? At a fashion shoot with Tyra Banks ? An audition for a movie with Johnny Depp? Both could be right because anything can happen in L.A. The stars, the fame, the money, the boys ... that could all be you and we'll just have to thank Scarlett for that. The only downside of going to this school and living in L.A is that somehow everyone knows who you are, someone's starting worldwide rumors about you so watch out.

Effy ? Effy ! What is there to say about Effy Carter ? Effy Carter is flawless ! jkay she's a hot mess. Ever heard of Aaron Johnson, the oh-so-sexy actor aka the love of little Effy's life ? The high school sweathearts dated for four years when at the end of senior year he went to film the movie Nowhere Boy and came back to confess that he had fallen madly in love with his director. He left Effy with a dreaded goodbye [for the both of them to be quite honest], a long and tender kiss and a cracked heart. She was not the only one shocked. They had been voted best couple and had promise rings. That's the reason Effy is the way she is: gorgeous and guarded. The whole thing pushed her into this period of depression which was delt with in a mental hospital. She then strived for perfect, her thin dirty blonde hair was died to permanantly blonde with extensions, her bright blue eyes turned green with some contacts, her wardrobe was updated from the tee shirts and jeans to whatever was in style and her body thinned . . . a lot. Everyone loves Effy. Everyone loves what they have heard Effy is like. She doesn't let just anybody into her life, only those select few. She's paranoid about the same thing happening again and is practically screaming on the inside: help.
Story:
I giggled, he laughed. I splashed the water at him, "Get in, we're going canoeing." He smiled and did as told. He picked up his two oars and helped me row. The ride consisted of the two of us smiling at eachother until He pointed ahead, "That's what I wanted you to see." The most beautiful golden house stood at the base of the lake, a few yards from the water with a gazeebo. The house was a gorgeous golden colour with white shutters and a black roof. It had four windows on each floor and was not too big but not too small. It was practically calling to me.
I turned my full body to face it as Aaron wrapped his arms around me and pulled me up to sit in his lap, "I knew you'd love it, Eff." I smiled and looked up at him, "Can we go knock on their door ? pleaseeeee ?" I pouted as he pecked my lips. "Fine but lets pull onto shore over there." I slid back to my seat and jumped into the water a foot away from the shore as Aaron helped me pull it up.
We wandered around the property for at least ten minutes. There were re-blooming maple trees all over and that seemed to be all there was. Before I'd stepped off of the edge into the water Aaron grabbed my hand and nodded toward the door.

[ignore the horrid set, a better one will be up later, sorry I haven't posted for mlu, I've been away and doing stuff for school.]
"One half a pound of oven gold turkey please." I said politely to the big meat man behind the counter. He nodded and went to slice it as my phone vibrated in my pocket. I quickly pulled it out, it was my brother, "Hi Xav." I sighed. He groaned in his morning voice, "pick up some lucky charms while you're out cause we're out of them." I walked to the cereal isle, "did you just wake up ? It's almost noon and you have band practice soon so get up and ready." his response was him hanging up the phone. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the cereal. Did I need anything else ? I looked over the shopping list while I made my way to the checkout line.
There were four people infront of me. The first two went quick, the third one had a little bit more food to buy, but the fourth one, oh god the fourth one, he took easily fifteen minutes. By the fifth minute I began to tap my foot which got me the remark, "I'm going as f.ucking fast as I can, little girl, so don't get your combat boots in a bunch. And take those sunglasses off while you're inside, it's the first sign of a do.uchebag." I rolled my eyes, of course I wasn't a dou.che, I had just gone out last night and didn't come back so early . . . Or sober.
I bought my groceries quickly and walked back to our apartment, ours as in my parents but they're in the Bahamas at the moment. Yea, I still live with my parents. I turned nineteen just a week ago and I'm working on finding a place. I kicked the front door open to expose the yellow and red living room. "GUYS IM HOME." I yelled as I kicked the door shut behind me. Xavier peeked his head around from the hallway into the kitchen, "lucky charms ?" I nodded and passed him a bowl and the box. He did the rest. But after two bites he had fallen asleep in the cereal. I picked up his head and pushed the cereal to the side. "oh god." I sighed as I heard Declan's voice calling Xav. I walked down the hall and leaned against the doorway of the room dedicated to their band. Declan, Tony, and Jared were all at either their keyboard, drum kit or bass, my brother played the guitar and sung.
"Boys I got-" Declan cut me off,"Hey Ren, you get any food ?" I rolled my eyes, "no I got tampons and condoms, what do you think I got ?" I pushed off of the door frame and took one step into my room, closing the door behind me. I kicked off my boots to feel the white faux fur rug between my toes. I grabbed whatever mail had come for me off of my desk. "junk." I tossed it all into the garbage. Walking over to the window I heard heavy breathing. Carefully and slowly, I walked to the closet, grabbed the small lamp from my desk and opened the door. Nothing. I looked behind the curtains, nothing. Looking at the bed, I saw a little flash of gray move from behind it. I got up onto the bed and slowly looked over.
There was a light gray and pure white, puppy husky sitting happily on my floor. I untied the leash that someone had tied to the leg of my bed to keep it there and patted the bed with the biggest smile on my face. It jumped up. This was without a doubt the most adorable thing I had ever seen. It climbed onto my lap and gave me a nice licking which made me laugh. I finally saw a pink post it wrapped around its collar.
"Ren,
I dunno you've done a lot for the boys and I so we all chipped in and got you a dog. The doctors think he's three months old and he was abandoned in a state park in michigan. He's a rescue. Maybe he can rescue you sometime. Haha I'm so funny. So I guess this is your college present. He hasn't been named yet so go right ahead and give him one of your strange names.

I looked down at the ecstatic dog. "aw baby," I pulled it to my chest, hugging it, "Does mint sound good ? As a name ? Kind of tacky but it fits you, not that you're tacky or anything, you're an adorable ball of-" I heard a laugh and Xavier's voice, "Ren, what are you doing ?" I smiled and got up. "thank you so much, Xav." I smiled as I hugged him tightly. He laughed and hugged me back, "this is the best mood I've seen you in in years." I pulled back, "well you're the reason behind it right now."
